America's Best Rose Garden is the cornerstone of the neighborhood. Over 3500 rose shrubs are planted on five acres with nearly 200 varieties depicted throughout the year. Visit the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose and Planetarium, whose architecture is inspired by the Karnak Temple of Amon. The museum houses one of the largest collections of Egyptian artifacts in western North America. Visit the museum with a docent to learn about ancient Egyptian burial practices and the afterlife, as well as gods, kings, and pharaohs. There will be mummies, exhibitions, and a rock cut replica tomb for you to explore.
